Plus uses a medical cost-sharing model — not insurance. You pay your IUA once per medical need, and the community shares eligible expenses above that.

Pick your IUA
Choose $1,250, $2,500, or $5,000 at signup. Lower IUA means a higher monthly amount — higher IUA means a lower monthly amount.

Pay your IUA for an event
When a major eligible event happens — ER, hospital stay, surgery — you pay your selected IUA first. One IUA per medical need.

The community shares the rest
Eligible expenses above your IUA are shared by the medical cost-sharing community. No annual or lifetime cap on the amount that can be shared.

Things to Know
The fine print, plainly stated
A few rules that come with the cost-sharing model. Worth understanding up front so there are no surprises.
No annual or lifetime cap
No ceiling on the amount of eligible expenses that can be shared with the community.
Any doctor or hospital
For major events covered by Plus, you can choose any provider — no network restrictions.
Pre-existing conditions phase in
Conditions treated within 24 months prior to enrollment phase in over the first few membership years.
Maternity waiting period
Conception must occur after six months of continuous Plus membership for maternity sharing to apply.
Tobacco surcharge
Households with one or more tobacco users pay an additional $105 per month.
Three IUAs max per year
A household won’t be responsible for more than three IUAs in a rolling 12-month period.
